Full Stack Software Developer - Mid Level

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As a Mid-Level Full Stack Software Developer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for providing application development and support to an ecosystem of big data apps in a collaborative environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers, project managers, and other development teams to gather, analyze, and define requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to satisfy client needs.
• Develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis from system level to individual software components.
• Utilize software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and enterprise-level production environment.
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
• Design, create, test, and maintain software and web-based applications and content solutions to satisfy customer requirements.
• Follow a formal design process using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and adhere to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of software and web applications.
• Design and develop visually-pleasing, content-rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation.
• Develop and maintain software and web development technical documentation to assist with software and web application maintenance and upgrades.
• Provide software process management and configuration management throughout the software/web development life cycle.
• Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams. Select the software development processes in coordination with the customer and system engineering.
• Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects.
• Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software.
• Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to one or more teams and monitor their performance.
• Analyze and troubleshoot extremely complex software problems and provide solutions using the latest technologies.
• Integrate new software and web products with existing software and web applications to improve the functionality or design of the system.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 9+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related equivalent discipline, or 7+ years with a Master's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Full Stack Development experience.
• Familiarity with NoSQL/SQL (MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with REST APIs, utilizing secure transport methodology.
• CI/CD tool experience (Gitlab, Jenkins).
• Experience with Microservices Architecture.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Springboot, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with Cloud Platform technologies, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with Big Data Tools (Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi, Kafka).
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Experience building and deploying Docker-based applications.
• Familiarity with ETL and AI/ML concepts.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid work schedule; 16-hours per week approved.
• Work Location: New Providence, NJ; Annapolis Junction, MD; Washington, DC; Reston, VA.

Salary Range:

• $145,000 - $170,000
