Join Our Team as a Junior Software Engineer - API Team
Are you a motivated and driven software engineer looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic team? We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our API team at Flix Tech. As part of our team, you will help shape our API Management Platform, which is crucial for our internal developers. You will have the opportunity to work closely with developers who provide or consume our APIs, ensuring seamless development and operations.
Your Role
- Collaborate in a Self-Organized Team: Work with a team that takes responsibility for the quality and availability of our APIs.
- Guide and Support: Assist teams in providing and consuming APIs, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Drive Technology Improvements: Analyze, propose, and implement technology enhancements.
- On-Call Rotation: Be willing to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.
- Design and Implement Services: Plan and implement services and integrations from scratch, embracing the "You build it, you run it, you own it" philosophy.
- Write Clean Code: Develop clean, comprehensive, and well-tested code.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with various teams across the organization to foster collective ownership and learning.
- Automation and Best Practices: Apply automation and adhere to company best practices.
Your Profile
- Experience with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI: Understanding and experience in developing RESTful APIs.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript and Java, with openness to other languages.
- Familiarity with Tools: Experience with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab, and Postman.
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Familiarity with this concept is a plus.
- Frontend Frameworks: Experience with or willingness to learn React or similar frameworks.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical Communication: Strong skills in technical communication at a business level.
- English Proficiency: Very good command of English.
