About the Role
As a Lead Back End Developer specializing in Node.js at ekino, you will be a crucial part of our engineering team. This role involves a significant amount of technical work (70%) alongside team management responsibilities (20-30%). You will be tasked with developing, redesigning, and optimizing APIs for high-traffic websites, focusing on performance aspects such as response times, caching, CPU optimization, and load testing.
You will implement scalable, extendable architectures and maintain high-quality standards, including a minimum of 80% test coverage, performance and end-to-end testing, and adherence to TDD practices depending on the project. Your role also includes managing the CI/CD pipeline and contributing to the technical excellence of the team by mentoring junior members and leading by example.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize APIs for scalability and performance.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards including test coverage and code reviews.
- Manage aspects of the CI/CD pipeline.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
