Senior Back-End Developer (Node.js / Express) - Part-Time

Job Description

As a Senior Back-End Developer working part-time, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our RESTful APIs using Node.js and the Express framework. You will also manage the integration with our PostgreSQL database. Applying TDD (Test-Driven Development) principles and clean code best practices will be crucial to ensure code quality and maintainability. You will collaborate closely with front-end and product teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust RESTful APIs with Node.js and Express.
• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL database integration.
• Apply clean code and TDD best practices to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform product needs into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Ensure application performance and scalability.
• Maintain security and data protection in applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of back-end development experience with Node.js and Express.
• Expertise in TDD (Test-Driven Development) and continuous integration.
• Strong skills in clean code and software architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization.
• Expertise in TypeScript.
• Proficiency with version management tools (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to solve complex problems creatively and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the Express ecosystem and its middleware.
• Familiarity with API security best practices.
• Experience in developing scalable and high-performance applications.

Recruitment Process
