Role Overview
As a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer at Syndio, you will join our backend engineering team to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced startup environment. You will play a crucial role in developing high-quality software solutions that empower organizations to hire, promote, retain, and compensate their employees fairly and equitably.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reliable, performant, and maintainable backend systems using Go.
- Enhance application architecture on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop asynchronous workflows with tools like Apache Airflow, Temporal, or Google Cloud Run.
- Manage data models and schemas using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Cloud PubSub.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user needs are met.
- Engage in unit and integration testing.
- Contribute to discussions on API trade-offs, resource usage, and scalability.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in backend development, particularly with Go.
- Proficiency in additional programming languages like Python is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical teams.

Interview Process
