Role Overview

As a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer at Syndio, you will join our backend engineering team to tackle complex challenges in a fast-paced startup environment. You will play a crucial role in developing high-quality software solutions that empower organizations to hire, promote, retain, and compensate their employees fairly and equitably.

Responsibilities

Design and implement reliable, performant, and maintainable backend systems using Go.
Enhance application architecture on Google Cloud Platform.
Develop asynchronous workflows with tools like Apache Airflow, Temporal, or Google Cloud Run.
Manage data models and schemas using PostgreSQL, Redis, and Cloud PubSub.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user needs are met.
Engage in unit and integration testing.
Contribute to discussions on API trade-offs, resource usage, and scalability.

Skills and Experience

Strong experience in backend development, particularly with Go.
Proficiency in additional programming languages like Python is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical teams.

Interview Process

The interview process includes a 30-minute initial discussion, a 45-minute technical interview, a take-home assignment, and several video interviews with team members across different functions.
