The Video Center of Excellence develops state-of-the-art visual technologies and system solutions, driving the standardization of future media technologies in leading standardization organizations.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As a Principal Engineer in Video Coding Software, you will:
- Design and implement new video codec software architectures and features, including video coding tools and high-level syntax features for next-generation video codecs.
- Contribute to collaborative research leading to technology transfer, publications, and Intellectual Property.
- Develop your skills towards next-generation video coding algorithm development.
Key Skills And Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- At least a M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in high-quality software implementations of video codecs or image/video processing algorithms.
- Excellent software development skills in C and C++ and collaborative software development experience.
- Hands-on expertise in the latest video coding standards, such as HEVC and VVC.
Additional skills that are valued include:
- Knowledge of different software environments, such as cloud and GPU environments.
- Experience with Python and machine learning frameworks.
- A good track record in IPR generation.
