Job Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer at Nokia, you will be part of a new team in Cloud Platforms responsible for developing assigned pieces of software to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications. You will support our program planning and agile activities in the team and participate in other technical areas such as the open-source community in the whole CP product suite. As a SW Architect, you will also coach others and provide training when needed.
Responsibilities
- Leading the implementation of features and ensuring successful integration of software components within own domain based on product backlogs and specifications.
- System design and architecture.
- Assessing software quality and developing test tools to increase test effectiveness and efficiency.
- Proposing and leading internal improvement projects, initiatives, and task forces if needed.
- Contributing to the evolution of internal processes with a target for continuous efficiency increase of development teams.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in SW development/testing.
- Demonstrated industry experience in software development.
- Strong experience in C++, Golang, and scripting/coding with languages such as Python.
- Knowledge of processor architectures, embedded systems, and real-time systems.
- Understanding of cloud runtime environments and bare metal runtime environments of embedded systems.
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure software like RedHat, AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Experience in wireless protocols, especially LTE and NR.
