About the Role

Caylent is seeking an exceptional Principal Software Architect to join our growing Cloud Native Applications team. This role is pivotal in guiding our clients on their modernization journeys, leveraging your deep expertise in software development and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagements: Engage with clients to deliver maximum value in a short period. Conduct discovery, design, and deliver POCs to multiple clients simultaneously. Understand client needs and demonstrate how Caylent can assist.
• Internal Projects: As a technical expert, contribute to internal projects by producing content, designing internal automation and integrations, and mentoring the team.
• Workstream Management: Prioritize up to 4 different workstreams at a time, including client engagements, internal projects, or content deadlines.
• Technical Artifacts: Interface with clients to conduct discovery on issues, create technical artifacts, and present solutions.
• Client Representation: Kickoff new client engagements and represent Caylent positively.
• Proposal Development: Aid in the development and review of proposals and contracts.
• Technical Interviews: Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Architects and Engineers.
• Content Development: Develop public-facing content that represents Caylent's work and problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications

• Expertise in AWS: Extensive experience working with AWS.
• Coding Proficiency: Proficient in multiple coding languages such as Node.js, Go, React, Angular, TypeScript, and Python.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional Services Experience: Experience managing professional services engagements.
• Startup Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and ability to be cross-functional.
• Technical Curiosity: Natural curiosity and excitement for solving complex technical problems and learning new technology.
• Application Development: Strong technical background in application development.
• Client-Facing Expertise: Expertise working in client-facing environments.
• CI/CD and Automation: Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Consulting Experience: Experience working in consulting or professional services.
• Testing and Automation: Experience with testing and automation.
• UI/UX Exposure: Experience or exposure to UI/UX related deliverables.
• Cloud Solutions: Experience with other cloud-related solutions.

Salary

• Base Salary Range: €165,000 - €185,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Additional Compensation: May include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives.
