About the Role
As a Principal Engineer at Remote, you will be at the forefront of solving some of the most significant challenges in global employment and remote work. This role is pivotal in shaping the engineering practices and the future of work at a company that is a leader in its field.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 250 engineers across various disciplines including Frontend, Backend, SRE, and QA.
- Drive the development and scaling of our backend built with Elixir and Phoenix, and our frontend using React and Next.js.
- Utilize Gitlab for version control and CI/CD, ensuring high deployment frequencies and robust application performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with company goals and user needs.
- Influence and foster the development of junior engineers, promoting a culture of learning and growth within the team.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Principal Engineer or similar senior role, with a track record of building, maintaining, and scaling complex software systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic and pragmatic approach to challenges.
- Experience in mentoring and leading large engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Elixir, Phoenix, React, Next.js, Postgres, and AWS.
