Principal Software Engineer - HealthTech

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at CareAbout Health. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our product vision is realized through excellence in execution. As a key member of the engineering organization and product development leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape our team's practices and culture.

Key Responsibilities

Mentorship: Mentor software engineers to grow their technical skills, particularly in EMR/EHR data interchange design and implementation.
Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize cloud-native infrastructure and modern software engineering methodologies to develop scalable, secure, and sustainable software solutions.
Innovation: Experiment with emerging technologies to accommodate the expanding scope of our ambitious HealthTech projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on business priorities and opportunities.
Development: Use technologies such as Python, pySpark, dbt, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS services including Lambda, CDK/CloudFormation, Glue, Data Lake, RDS, queues, SNS, and Snowflake.
Feedback Integration: Solicit and incorporate design and feature feedback from users in small, short iterations.
Lifecycle Management: Participate in the complete lifecycle of the code, from feature design to production support.
Security: Adhere to data security and confidentiality protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
Experience: At least 5 years in a healthcare/technology-related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, Go, C#, JavaScript, etc.
Healthcare Domain: Experience with processing HL7 messages, CCD documents, and EDI X12 Claims files.
Software Design: Experience in designing and implementing software, test-driven development, cloud technologies, and container technologies.

Compensation

Salary Range: €107,000 - €166,000 per year
