About the Role

As a Software Architect, you will have the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. You will be a key player in the Oracle Health Data Intelligence (OHDI) team, committed to providing top-tier health products that address some of the world's most significant challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of new major components of Oracle Health.
• Collaborate with executives to drive innovation and investment in software design.
• Solve complex problems in distributed systems, virtualized infrastructure, and highly available services.
• Challenge existing engineering assumptions to scale to the next cloud generation.
• Partner with leaders to drive innovation for Substrate and mentor the next generation of engineers.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of experience in delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, or Java, and scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures.
• Understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
• Experience in building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure is a strong plus.

Education

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.
