The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Marketplace Management Systems (MMS) team in Portugal. This team is crucial to our business model, focusing on building a scalable platform that supports millions of users globally. Our mission is to optimize marketplace value for users, clients, and partners while maintaining healthy margins for Wellhub.

Who You Are

• Experienced Backend Engineer: Skilled in architecting large-scale web applications with high availability.
• Programming Languages: Proficient in one or more languages such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python, with a strong preference for Golang.
• Cloud Expertise: Experience with AWS and GCP cloud-based architectures.
• RESTful Services: Skilled in developing RESTful web services and collaborating with front-end teams.
• Computer Science Fundamentals: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Database Knowledge: Extensive experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to work with diverse teams across different countries.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
