Job Summary
We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with a strong background in AWS and DevOps, particularly focusing on data engineering. This role involves scaling AWS-based infrastructure and developing new features to automate cloud FinOps.
Responsibilities
- AWS Infrastructure Management: Maintain and enhance serverless micro-service architecture. Use Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, ensuring scalable deployments.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor AWS service costs and usage, developing strategies to minimize operational costs while maintaining performance.
- Compliance and Security: Lead SOC2 compliance initiatives and maintain secure code practices, focusing on robust authorization mechanisms.
- Development and Maintenance: Collaborate with the CTO and engineering team to develop and refine features, improving system performance and scalability.
- Data Pipeline Management: Design and manage data pipelines, optimizing for machine learning integration and efficiency.
Technical Expertise Required
- Proficient in Python, with experience in API development and AWS service integration.
- Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and tools such as SQL, pySpark, and Dataframes.
- Experience with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and others.
- Knowledge of Git for version control.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS Associate Level Certification preferred.
- Independent, problem-solving attitude, capable of leading projects from conception to completion.
