Job Overview
Join Microsoft's Marketing Engineering team as a Principal Software Engineer in Georgia, United States. This role is pivotal in building and leading the platform that powers the next generation of marketing and store experiences for Microsoft. You will be at the forefront of infusing AI into marketing processes, radically changing how content is generated, rendered, and personalized.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a core component library for web and mobile experiences across all Microsoft marketing properties.
- Define frameworks for other teams to build upon the component library.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and engineering teams to develop roadmaps and implementation plans.
- Transform designs from tools like Figma into extensible components, maximizing re-use.
- Optimize solutions using modern web frameworks and both open source and proprietary solutions.
- Define metrics and targets for optimizing end-user experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience in leading the build-out of scalable, accessible frameworks for web and mobile experiences.
- Proficiency with modern web technologies like Web Components and React.
- Experience with source control management and build/deploy products like Azure Dev Ops.
- Analytical skills with a systematic approach to front-end design and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience with frameworks like Google LIT.
- Proficiency with Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, and SASS.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a plus.
