Overview
Join Microsoft's Azure Compute team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining highly scalable, performant, and reliable distributed cloud infrastructure. This role involves significant responsibilities in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale distributed software services and solutions, focusing on Azure's core management plane.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions.
- System design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components.
- Conduct code reviews and leverage data/telemetry for decision-making.
- Ensure services are modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored, and reusable.
- Embody Microsoft's culture and values, focusing on respect, integrity, and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with distributed systems or cloud services is highly desirable.
- Ability to meet Microsoft's security screening requirements.
Additional Qualifications
- Advanced degrees and additional experience are preferred, enhancing your capability to contribute to and lead in this role.
- Experience in running services at scale and working on cloud infrastructure services is a plus.
