Senior Software Engineer - Microsoft Azure, C#, .NET

Job Overview

Join Microsoft, a global leader in software development, as a Senior Software Engineer. This role is based in Burlington, MA, and offers the opportunity to work remotely. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Healthcare & Life Science (HLS) AI platform engineering team, focusing on the transformation of medical documentation solutions in the AI and data-driven world.

Responsibilities

Leverage your expertise in product features to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
Organize work into smaller tasks as part of an overall roadmap.
Guide other members for project estimation and escalate issues causing delays.
Lead architectural discussions by designing, testing, and refining code with minimal technical oversight.
Ensure solutions meet architectural requirements and are scalable, extensible, fault-tolerant, and secure.
Participate in production on-call rotations, leading the resolution of critical technical issues.
Develop and implement strategies for risk mitigation and ensure system reliability and performance.
Drive comprehensive application of automation within production and deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Proficient knowledge in building microservices and micro-frontends architecture-based applications with containerization technologies like Docker and Azure Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Experience in deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
Experience with Infra-as-Code languages like Bicep or Terraform.
Extensive experience in .NET stack, including ASP.NET Core and Web APIs.
Solid experience with version control systems like GIT and CI/CD pipelines.
