Job Overview
Join Microsoft, a global leader in software development, as a Senior Software Engineer. This role is based in Burlington, MA, and offers the opportunity to work remotely. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Healthcare & Life Science (HLS) AI platform engineering team, focusing on the transformation of medical documentation solutions in the AI and data-driven world.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your expertise in product features to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Organize work into smaller tasks as part of an overall roadmap.
- Guide other members for project estimation and escalate issues causing delays.
- Lead architectural discussions by designing, testing, and refining code with minimal technical oversight.
- Ensure solutions meet architectural requirements and are scalable, extensible, fault-tolerant, and secure.
- Participate in production on-call rotations, leading the resolution of critical technical issues.
- Develop and implement strategies for risk mitigation and ensure system reliability and performance.
- Drive comprehensive application of automation within production and deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proficient knowledge in building microservices and micro-frontends architecture-based applications with containerization technologies like Docker and Azure Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Experience in deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
- Experience with Infra-as-Code languages like Bicep or Terraform.
- Extensive experience in .NET stack, including ASP.NET Core and Web APIs.
- Solid experience with version control systems like GIT and CI/CD pipelines.
