Job Overview
Stream is seeking a passionate and skilled AI Developer Advocate to join our Developer Relations team in the EMEA region. As a Developer Advocate, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing our developer community, particularly in the Python and AI domains. You will work closely with our SDK and backend teams to enhance Stream’s AI integrations across our Chat and Video APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Building: Engage with developers in the Python and AI fields to spread awareness of Stream’s offerings. Drive discussions and provide guidance to foster a vibrant community.
- Product Improvement: Collaborate with SDK and backend teams to improve AI integrations. Relay community feedback to influence the product roadmap.
- Open Source Projects: Write, release, document, and manage open-source AI projects and demo apps built on Stream products.
- Collaboration: Work closely with community members, developers, and product owners to enhance Stream’s SDKs.

- Self-motivated and capable of solving problems independently.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality output.
- An excellent communicator who enjoys teaching others through various modes of communication, including writing and video.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a software engineer or developer.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- 1-2 years of experience in technical consulting or community engagement.
- Expert-level understanding of Python, NodeJS, or JavaScript in a production environment.
- Practical experience with machine learning, large language models, and natural language processing.
- Experience with third-party developer tools such as APIs, SDKs, and client libraries.
- Active participation in online and offline developer communities.
Bonus Points
- Experience as a Developer Advocate in the tech space.
- Experience speaking at or hosting events.
- Strong social media presence.
- Examples of written content on platforms like Medium or personal blogs.
