Job Description
We are seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Frontend Engineer at WorkWhile, you will collaborate with founders, sales, design, and other engineers to solve problems for our users, which include both workers and businesses. You will be responsible for building new user-facing features using React and React Native, from architecture to visuals and interactions. Additionally, you will contribute to the platform, infrastructure, and cultural foundations of the company as it continues its explosive growth.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve user problems.
- Build and maintain user-facing features using React and React Native.
- Contribute to the development of platform and infrastructure.
- Engage in user research to understand and challenge assumptions.
- Demonstrate initiative in up-skilling and personal development.
Requirements
- Strong JavaScript fundamentals.
- Expert-level skill with React and/or React Native.
- Self-sufficiency and ability to drive results independently.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to understand user needs deeply.
Our Engineering Team
Our engineering team is small but mighty, with senior engineers from top companies like Airbnb, Amazon, Google, and Lyft. You will be joining as engineer number (single digit), and we value user-centricity, competence, speed, and having fun. We have been happily remote for the past 3 years, embracing independence and ownership of projects while being great team players. We focus on outcomes, not just projects.
