As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and technically proficient Senior AI/Deep Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Barcelona.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Deep Learning Tech Lead with over 10 years of expertise in AI and deep learning. In this leadership role, you will drive the research, design, implementation, optimization, and deployment of advanced deep learning models to enhance our AI ecosystem. Your contributions will be pivotal in shaping the future of our AI initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of deep learning engineers in developing cutting-edge neural network architectures.
• Oversee the end-to-end process of model development, from ideation to deployment.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of deep learning research papers and integrate innovative findings into our projects.
• Develop and train state-of-the-art algorithms to perform visual recognition tasks, such as segmentation, detection, and classification at scale on multi-million image datasets.
• Analyze and interpret performance metrics to guide model improvements.
• Collaborate closely with IT and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of models within our platform.
• Continuously iterate on model design and implementation based on real-world performance and feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and deep learning, driving the adoption of best practices and new technologies within the team.
• Work closely with Product and business teams to ensure a strong synchronization between AI development and customer-faced requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AI and deep learning, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
• Advanced proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Strong experience with data science tools including Python scripting, CUDA, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, bash scripting, and Linux environment.
• Strong background in neural network design, training, and optimization.
• An ideal candidate is very comfortable in cluster environments and understands the related computer systems concepts (CPU/GPU interactions/transfers, latency/throughput bottlenecks during training of neural networks, CUDA, pipelining/multiprocessing, etc).
• Demonstrated ability to stay current with the latest research and apply it effectively.
• An ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the under-the-hood fundamentals of deep learning (layer details, backpropagation, etc).
• Experience in managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas clearly.
