Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join our dynamic team at lastminute.com, a leader in the European travel-tech industry. This role is based in Barcelona, Spain, and offers a remote working option.
Responsibilities
- Develop pseudo-realtime machine learning solutions for real-world big data challenges.
- Create ranking and recommendation algorithms to enhance customer experiences.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including other machine learning scientists, software engineers, and project managers.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning.
- Proficient in Python and SQL with a strong understanding of major Python libraries for machine learning and data analysis.
- Experience with both supervised and unsupervised learning methods.
- Knowledge of deep learning techniques and frameworks like Keras or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Additional Skills
- Creative problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.
- Experience with Spark is considered a plus.
