About the Role
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team dedicated to enhancing the HelloFresh app. Your role will involve tackling the challenges of scaling our app globally as we expand into new markets each year. You will also play a crucial part in improving our communication platform and its functionalities, such as push notifications and in-app and in-box messages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an outstanding mobile experience for millions of users who interact with our apps weekly, directly impacting customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
- Focus on providing a seamless and enjoyable user experience for both customers and internal users.
- Take ownership of engineering and process quality, testing strategies, and code monitoring.
- Collaborate in agile, solution-oriented squads with Engineers, Designers, Product Owners, and Data Engineers.
- Contribute to the advancement of our Engineering Best Practices as part of our Mobile Chapter, while mentoring colleagues.
What You Bring
- Significant experience in Android development within a large-scale engineering organization.
- Experience with React Native or a willingness to learn is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and RESTful APIs.
- Thorough understanding of software development best practices, including Design Patterns, Clean Code, Agile Development, and Testing.
- Experience with Git and UNIX shell.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus.
- Familiarity with mobile messaging (push notifications, in-app, inbox) and integrations with marketing platforms like Salesforce is advantageous.
