TAG24 NEWS Deutschland GmbH is a nationwide news portal targeting young audiences through online and social media channels. We deliver local and national news across various platforms including our website, TAG24 app, and social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. Based in Dresden, we operate additional editorial offices throughout Germany, including Berlin, Chemnitz, Erfurt, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Munich, and Stuttgart. Our team of over 190 dedicated employees is on a strong growth trajectory, making us one of the TOP20 news sites in Germany.
Your Mission
You will be responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of our Android app. This includes programming new features using Kotlin and working project-oriented in direct exchange with colleagues from other departments. You will also optimize processes by incorporating your own ideas and experiences.
What You Bring
- Experience in developing native Android apps using Kotlin in Android Studio
- Desirable experience in technologies such as Jetpack Compose for UI development, Room for database interfacing, Coroutines for asynchronous functions, writing Unit Tests, and using the MVVM design pattern for code structuring
- Proficiency in Git for version control
- Strong command of both German and English languages
- If you have developed and published your own apps, please provide a link to your apps or code.
