Job Overview
LMI is seeking an experienced Senior Back End Developer to join our team in developing a National Directory of Healthcare (NDH). This directory will serve as a single source of truth for numerous stakeholders, including insurance companies, independent researchers, and various government agencies. This position offers the flexibility of remote work.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust and scalable back-end solutions using programming languages such as C# and/or Java.
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs to facilitate communication between front-end and back-end systems.
- Optimize performance of web applications by implementing best practices in database management, caching, and server-side processing.
- Implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to project planning and estimation.
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience and a STEM BS degree (or equivalent experience) OR 8+ years with a STEM MS degree.
- Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in C# and/or Java.
- Experience with web frameworks such as ASP.NET, Spring Boot, React, Angular, etc.
- Solid understanding of database management systems and proficiency in writing efficient queries.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, for which one must be a US citizen.
Desired:
- Agile, Lean, DevOps, Cloud, Security+ or other professional certification.
- Familiarity with federal security standards.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Vue, React, and/or Angular.
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure such as Amazon Web Services or equivalent.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze data.
- Experience working in a consultant/client environment.
