As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our backend systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and Maintain Backend Services and APIs: Utilize Python and Django to build and sustain backend services.
• Collaborate with Front-End Developers: Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize Applications: Enhance speed and scalability.
• Implement Security and Data Protection Measures: Ensure the safety and integrity of data.
• Troubleshoot, Debug, and Upgrade Existing Software: Resolve issues and improve existing systems.
• Write and Maintain Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation is available.
• Participate in Code Reviews: Ensure code quality and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to Engineering Practices and Processes: Follow and promote test-driven development, software architecture/design, and performance focus.
• Proactive Problem Solving: Ensure users receive the best experience by addressing issues promptly.
• Monitor and Manage AWS Infrastructure: Maintain high availability and performance of AWS services.
• Project Ownership: Take responsibility for the entire project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years in backend development using Python and Django.
• Proficiency: Skilled in TypeScript.
• AWS Services: Strong experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• API Design: Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• SQL Databases: Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Security Practices: Understanding of security and data protection.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent teamwork and communication capabilities.
• Personal Attributes: Team-oriented, confident but not arrogant, strong sense of ownership, and a proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automated Testing Frameworks: Experience with testing tools.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment.
• Docker and Container Tools: Experience with containerization.
