Senior Front-End Developer

Job Description

Softrams, LLC is seeking a full-time Senior Front-End Developer with over 9 years of experience to join our agile team. You will be responsible for developing modern, responsive applications for mission-critical U.S. federal government health IT solutions. This role requires U.S. citizenship or a Green Card and the ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance.

Federal Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance.
• Must reside in and be able to perform work in the United States.
• Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 14+ years of application development experience.
• Expert proficiency in UI development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Experience with UI Testing (Karma, Jasmine).
• Proficiency in Angular and Angular Material UI Component Library.
• Experience with Node.js and NPM.
• Knowledge of RESTful Web Services and APIs.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat.
• Familiarity with AWS ecosystem and related tools.
• Experience in agile (SAFe) environments using tools like Jira, Confluence, TestRail, and Slack.
• Experience with GitHub for development and maintenance.
• Ability to create clear design documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with application development for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid.
• Experience with 508 compliance and JAWS.
• Splunk experience.
• AWS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Create a new user interface to track the development of analytical models.
• Integrate metadata management with the UI.
• Develop and implement automated unit testing.
• Analyze and understand complex business and engineering challenges.
• Design end-to-end user experiences with practical, reliable, and efficient solutions.
• Design modern, scalable, and open-source solutions and architectures.
• Perform as a great agile team player and solve challenges as part of a team.
• Explore alternatives and quickly build prototypes to validate ideas.

Public Trust Clearance

This role requires the hired candidate to go through public trust clearance. A minimum of 3 years of stay in the U.S. within the last 5 years is required to be eligible.

Work Location

Softrams is a 100% remote-first team environment, with open-collaboration offices in Leesburg, VA, and Baltimore, MD for those who prefer to work on-site. Standard work hours are 9am ET to 5pm ET with flexibility based on team needs.
