About the Role
As a Senior Front End Developer at Blue Cross NC, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that enhance the healthcare experience for millions of users. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex software systems both on-premise and in the cloud. Your work will directly impact the lives of our members by improving the accessibility and efficiency of healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Independently perform the analysis, design, and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Code Quality: Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code to support complex IT solutions.
- Collaboration: Provide strong technical expertise and collaborate with other IT specialists to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that meet changing business needs.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and recommend solutions to development and production issues, effectively communicating with the project team and management.
- Innovation: Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices, focusing on continuous learning and application to the business.
- Mentorship: Provide direction and assistance to less experienced team members.
- UX/UI Integration: Incorporate UX/UI wireframe design and requirements into front-end applications.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field. In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of experience in a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with expertise in React.js, Node.js, CSS, DHTML, HTML5, Bootstrap, RESTful API, OAuth 2.0, Openshift, Github, and Jenkins.
- Healthcare IT: Experience with SMART on FHIR app development and healthcare clinical data exchange via APIs is a bonus.
