About the Role
ThreeFlow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend to join our Lifecycle team. This role is pivotal as we scale and move forward post-Series C. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work on projects that are crucial to our success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in an agile environment with a team that includes front-end, back-end, QA, and design specialists.
- Work closely with product, design, and other specialists to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build the best user experiences.
- Develop and revise the API that supports our three Vue.js-based UIs: Broker, Carrier, and Underwriting.
- Scope new initiatives to determine work effort and turnaround time.
- Write, test, document, and support efficient, reusable code.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
About You
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining highly available web applications, with at least 2 years working with Ruby on Rails.
- Proficient in PostgreSQL, with the ability to write efficient queries utilizing Postgres' JSON/B data types.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical partners across multiple teams and departments.
- Comfortable working on an agile SCRUM team and eager to learn new concepts, processes, and technologies.
- Passionate about tying technical solutions to business problems and understanding technology value propositions.
- Nice to have: Experience with JavaScript SPA, ideally Vue.js, and working with AWS and Buildkite.
