Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer with expertise in Ruby on Rails to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment, maintaining and upgrading the software following deployment, and overseeing the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee and guide the analyzing, writing, building, and deployment of software.
- Testing and Feedback: Oversee the automated testing and provide feedback to management during the development process.
- Program Modification: Modify and test changes to previously developed programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Front-end Technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5, and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, and jQuery.
- Design Ability: Basic design ability, including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Server Management: Experience working with Nginx servers with a solid background in Linux and Kubernetes.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in designing and writing understandable, testable, and easy-to-maintain software (Ruby, Ruby on Rails).
- Database Management: 3+ years of experience with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL).
- Agile Approach: Focus on building solutions utilizing an agile approach, maintaining close relationships with Product Managers and Program Managers.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of industry design patterns and object-oriented programming.
- Operational Excellence: Commitment to operational excellence through the development of automation, instrumentation of code, and monitoring solutions.
- Programming Practices: Familiarity with pair programming and TDD.

Location
This position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in Austin, TX or Chicago, IL, working CST hours.
Salary
The pay range for this position is $63.00/hour to $83.00/hour.
