Job Description
Ascend Minds is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend API Engineer with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL. This is a hybrid role that combines on-site and remote work, offering the flexibility to work in a collaborative environment while also enjoying the benefits of remote work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with internal customers, including product owners, to understand their needs and translate them into effective solutions.
- Utilize conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques to address challenges and improve efficiencies.
- Create high-quality technical documentation to support the development process.
- Engage in large-scale enterprise system development and integration.
- Work with Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework methodologies to ensure efficient project delivery.
Requirements
- 7+ years of equivalent work experience in software engineering.
- Proven hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and ExpressJS.
- Experience with Mocha, CouchDB, Redis, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes on the Azure platform is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Experience in business analysis and customer relationship management.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in project management, business analysis, or system design.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework.
