Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Deel, you will be part of a cross-functional team that includes Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA specialists. You will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, ensuring that our customers receive a white-glove experience with our products.

Key Responsibilities

Design, code, test, and maintain applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
Collaborate with teams to develop robust new features and APIs.
Continuously improve our industry-leading products and fix any bugs at Deel Speed.
Advise on best practices and be a thought leader in your field.

What You Bring

Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax.
Strong database skills, particularly with SQL and NoSQL, mainly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries like Sequelize.
Good understanding of AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
Experience with serverless app architecture on AWS.
At least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

Experience with SaaS products running 24/7 on a major cloud vendor.
Experience working in distributed teams and thriving in a remote work environment.
Knowledge of the dynamic world of FinTech.
