As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in architecting new features and functionality in a secure and scalable way.

About the Project

Actus is a highly customizable, modular application designed to run multiple services related to core (re-)insurance processes like loss modelling, pricing, and capital modelling. Built entirely with Solveva IP, the tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express, and NestJS. Both TypeScript and Python are used for implementing actuarial algorithms. As the scope of the application and client base grows, we need a skilled developer to help us meet these challenges.

Your Role

• Develop Generic Solutions: Work on the low-code platform’s core functionality and integrate these solutions with client systems.
• Create New Features: Develop new features in the existing data service and share your ideas for improvements and enhancements.
• Collaborate and Innovate: Engage in technical discussions, take personal responsibility for delivery, and incorporate client input for specific implementations.

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical capabilities and sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Recent professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, GraphQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience in testing systems at the unit level and end-to-end (Jest, Mocha).
• Commitment to product quality, testing approaches, code verification, and design patterns.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and Kafka or other message brokers is advantageous.
