About the Role
As a Senior Backend Developer at Modoyo, you will be instrumental in shaping the technical infrastructure that supports our game development. You will be involved in various aspects of backend development, from UI systems to more complex backend functionalities. Your role will include building efficient tools to enhance studio productivity and analyzing new problems to design innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the development of technical infrastructure supporting the game, including UI and Backend systems.
- Build tools to help the entire studio work more efficiently.
- Analyze new problems and design solutions as the teams and projects grow.
- Collaborate with a group of talented individuals to build a fun and engaging game.
What We Expect
- Previous experience within a Game Studio or Publisher, preferably specializing in Live Services.
- Comfortable leading projects, turning feature requests into actionable plans, and working with user feedback to build the best products possible.
- Expertise in C# and ASP.NET WebAPIs, ideally using .NET Core.
- Strong understanding of good WebAPI design principles and patterns, especially REST, GraphQL, and Websockets.
- Hands-on experience architecting and implementing backends on AWS.
- Good understanding of databases, especially scaling and query performance. MySQL/MariaDB preferred.
- Some experience with Infrastructure as Code, with bonus points for Terraform usage.
- Some knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript to support our Front End developers.
- A commitment to building software with Security and Stability as core features, not afterthoughts.

This is a full-time position based in Stockholm, Sweden. While we prefer candidates to be locally based, we are open to discussing remote work options for the right talent. Currently, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship but hope to in the future.
