Join Our Search Experience Team as a Senior Backend Developer

We are excited to announce that our Search Experience team is looking to welcome their next colleague. This core team at Voyado works with the search functionality of our product, which entails providing shoppers with context-based & highly relevant results in an extremely fast manner.

Your Role

In this role, you will be working on developing new functionality, as well as maintaining existing ones, around the core of our product. This could involve managing filtering capabilities and supporting our customers in their different markets by enhancing and extending the different languages we have search capabilities in today.

We work in empowered teams where you'd be part of the entire development cycle with a true DevOps mentality when it comes to ownership of what you build. This means you'd not only be writing code but truly understanding why we focus on the things we do and how it creates value for our customers. You'd be part of the discovery process, iterate on our hypothesis, and make sure we are validating we're on the right path!

Responsibilities

• Expand and enhance Elevate's offering within the search domain.
• Discover & develop thought-through solutions to customer challenges and opportunities in an iterative manner.
• Contribute with DevOps knowledge to the existing team.

Your Toolbox

Your toolbox will consist of technologies such as Java, IntelliJ, GitHub, and we are currently moving from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.

Who You Are

Apart from your natural tendency to take initiative and ensure progress in your daily work, you take pride in the code you write and the products you build. You are an experienced Backend Developer who's been working in team settings previously where both receiving and giving feedback within the team is a no-brainer. You have a quality mindset, and you've probably done code reviews, worked with pair programming, and agree that failing fast and continuously collecting feedback for iteration is better than endlessly thinking and tinkering.

Besides the above, you're strong in your Java skills, and it's meritorious if you have experience working with AWS, Terraform, and Maven.
