About the Role
DevOps engineering is an essential part of any modern game studio: it's the glue that holds everything together. At Modoyo, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about building and optimizing high-performance, reliable, and scalable systems. You will join a small team with the intention of growing, where you will be able to specialize over time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architecting Robust Infrastructure: Designing and maintaining a scalable, highly available infrastructure to support game development operations.
- Automation Champion: Leading automation efforts to streamline processes and reduce manual, repetitive tasks across the development pipeline.
- CI/CD Enhancement: Continuously optimizing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and improve reliability.
- Developer Tooling: Creating and maintaining scripts, tools, and utilities to enhance the development experience and productivity.
- Security and Compliance: Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations in our infrastructure and development processes.
- Performance Tuning: Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure to ensure a smooth gaming experience.
- Scalability Planning: Assisting in capacity planning and scalability assessments to ensure our infrastructure can handle growing demands.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Implementing robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues.
What We'd Like to See
- Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in managing infrastructure resources using Terraform.
- Containerization Expertise: A solid understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience working with AWS or an equivalent cloud provider.
- Security Focus: A "zero-trust" approach to securing both cloud and on-premises resources.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: Strong problem-solving skills and a forward-thinking mindset to continuously improve our DevOps processes.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: A willingness to support and mentor, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
