Are you a seasoned backend developer with a passion for building scalable and high-performance systems? BookBeat is looking for a talented individual to join our engineering team in Stockholm. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our digital book service, which serves over 1 million active users across 30 countries.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C# and .NET.
- Building new features and improving existing ones to enhance our product offering.
- Participating in product development and contributing to architectural and technical decisions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Ensuring the performance and scalability of our microservices architecture deployed in Kubernetes.
What We Are Looking For
We believe you have:
- At least 4 years of experience in backend development, preferably in a product company.
- Strong proficiency in C# or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn and share knowledge with others.
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with REST/gRPC, SOLID principles, and security best practices.
- Knowledge of Docker, message-driven/event architecture, caching, and CDN.
- Interest in AI and open-source contributions.
