Senior Backend Developer - Java, SQL

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated experienced Back end developer who is passionate about learning. Special interest in SQL/Query and/or MDX/XMLA/OLAP data sources. The ideal candidate is well-versed in using agile with experience in delivering enterprise scale products.

As a member of an upcoming IBM analytics product, you will play a central role by delivering new functionalities as well as maintaining existing capabilities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years of software development in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in Java
• Knowledge and experience in relational database, OLAP and/or query planning is a plus
• Exposure to agile development, continuous integration, continuous development environment (CI/CD) with tools such as: GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins etc.
• Other Tools: ssh clients, docker.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and devise solutions
• Ability to work Independently in a large matrix environment.
• Troubleshoot and solve customer issues on production deployments

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• The position requires a back-end developer with strong Java skills.
• Experience integrating applications with relational databases and/or OLAP data sources would be an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and/or MDX/XMLA would also be an asset
