Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Backend Developer who is passionate about learning and has a special interest in SQL/Query and/or MDX/XMLA/OLAP data sources. The ideal candidate is well-versed in using agile methodologies with experience in delivering enterprise-scale products.

As a member of an upcoming IBM analytics product team, you will play a central role by delivering new functionalities as well as maintaining existing capabilities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 7+ years of software development in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience integrating applications with relational databases and/or OLAP data sources.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and/or MDX/XMLA.
• Knowledge and experience in relational database, OLAP, and/or query planning.
• Exposure to agile development, continuous integration, and continuous development environments (CI/CD) with tools such as GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, etc.
• Other Tools: SSH clients, Docker.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and devise solutions.
• Ability to lead the development of features in a large matrix environment.
• Troubleshoot and solve customer issues on production deployments.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong Java skills.
• Experience integrating Business Intelligence tools with SAP/BW, SAP/BW4HANA, and other OLAP technologies.
• Experience as a BI product developer.
• Experience defining the SAP/BW and BW4HANA test assets - cubes, test suites, automated tests - to ensure high code coverage and tight integration with CA.
• Full lifecycle of SAP/BW and BW4HANA assets - Cube upgrade, server and server support: administering, maintaining, and upgrading using current SAP tooling.
