Position Overview
Superside is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is pivotal in developing high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions that power our AI-driven creative services platform. You will be working in a fully remote environment, collaborating with a global team of top-tier engineers, product managers, and designers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Implement new features and maintain existing ones, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable code that is efficient and reusable.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and enhance the software architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in backend development using Java and Kotlin.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
- Experience with Spring Framework and end-to-end testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, as it is the primary language of communication within the company.
