The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our Client Innovation Area (CIA) Focus Area, specifically the Wellbeing Access team in Portugal. This role involves working within the Wellbeing Access Squad, part of our B2B focus area, to integrate our benefits and services seamlessly into the lives of employees worldwide.

Your Role

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will:

Collaborate with a talented engineering team in an agile environment.
Define system architectures and integrations, bringing innovative solutions to the table.
Enhance existing systems to meet product demands and ensure successful deliveries.
Write maintainable code and tests, and participate in code reviews and pair programming.
Resolve incidents and troubleshoot production environments, writing critical post-mortems.
Mentor other developers and promote high-quality code standards.
Inspire and empower colleagues by prioritizing wellbeing and work-life balance.

Who You Are

An engineer with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Experienced in designing and developing modern web applications.
Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Golang (Golang and Kotlin are a plus).
Familiar with SQL/NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB.
A believer in automation and experienced in CI/CD processes.
Possess strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
