Senior Full Stack Engineer with React and Kotlin

Job Description

lastminute.com is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in React and experience in backend technologies, particularly Java/Kotlin and Spring. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, agile environment and is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance travel experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Research, design, write, and test new software programs using Agile methodologies.
Maintain systems by monitoring, identifying, and correcting software defects.
Investigate new technologies and constantly update technical knowledge and skills.
Solve problems and apply lateral thinking as part of a team or individually to meet project needs.

Qualifications

Essential

4-6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
Proficiency in React, Styled Components, TypeScript, Jest, HTML, and CSS.
Solid coding background in Java/Kotlin and TypeScript/JavaScript.
Good knowledge of the Spring environment.
Familiarity with Git and continuous integration.
Willingness to work in an Agile environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Very good knowledge of the English language.

Desirable

Experience in Node.js / Next.js backend development.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, SpringBoot, MySQL, and Maven.
Competence in testing techniques like TDD and BDD.
Interest in open-source software and contributions.
MS Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
