Job Overview
Join Wolt as a Senior Backend Engineer on our Search Platform team in Berlin, Germany. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact our search features used by over 10 million customers. You will be part of a team focused on experimenting, testing, and fine-tuning our complex search feature, including filtering and sorting, relevancy scoring, and the overall architecture to enhance the search experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality code for search features.
- Collaborate with a small, experienced team to own the search feature end-to-end.
- Share best practices and contribute to the scalability of our solutions.
- Engage in site reliability engineering, including observability, logging, and monitoring.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing large-scale search features.
- Strong background in software design and development.
- Expertise in Elasticsearch or similar tools.
- Experience with Python and frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead with technical expertise.
