About the Role
Bolt is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Web team. You will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and applying best performance, accessibility, and security principles to web applications and pages at Bolt. You will work closely with web analytics, testing, and reporting tools to ensure that the most efficient and convenient experience is delivered to our visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and code Bolt's growing frontend systems, primarily using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Proactively fix upcoming bugs and solve technical challenges.
- Contribute ideas to our product development roadmap.
- Improve performance and speed-related aspects of the pages.
About You
- Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
- 3+ years of experience in web development.
- Good English and communication skills.
- Experience developing responsive websites and/or mobile web applications.
- A solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, rendering, and best development practices.
- Good understanding of web accessibility and usability issues.
- Thorough understanding of web standards and browser/platform compatibility.
- Solid understanding of general SEO principles in the web-design and development process.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with frontend testing tools such as Jest, Testing Library, and Cypress.
- Experience with backend systems written in Node.js, Nginx, and Amazon Web Services.
- Knowledge of task runners and bundlers like WebPack and Parcel.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting using Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Optimize.
