Overview
Join Bloomberg's Artificial Intelligence Group as a Senior Data Engineer and contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI-driven products. This role is perfect for those with a strong background in software development and a passion for data science.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a productionized logging system for online Business Intelligence applications and offline ML Model training.
- Implement reusable, efficient, maintainable, and testable code that scales to billions of data points.
- Work with application and product teams to define data needs and SLAs, implementing data models using idiomatic schema designs.
- Design and implement metrics for the Bloomberg search experience and create Business Intelligence dashboards.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Python and at least one other object-oriented programming language (C/C++, Java).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and a data-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Experience building ETL pipelines and extending data lakes with various technologies.
