Senior Data Scientist (Contractor)

Job Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist (Contractor) at Thoughtworks, you will leverage your deep technical knowledge to solve complex business problems. You will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, and articulation of business impact through data science and machine learning solutions. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and effective communication of findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Teams: Work collaboratively with teams to craft data science and machine learning solutions that generate significant impact on customers.
• Conduct Experiments: Develop hypotheses and conduct experiments to solve business problems using advanced statistical techniques.
• Data Science Strategy: Develop and implement data science strategies that drive measurable business results.
• Communication: Communicate technical findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Client Interaction: Interact with clients from diverse domains, addressing their challenging problems.
• Community Contribution: Contribute to the growth and knowledge sharing within the data science community, focusing on the latest tech trends.
• Ethical Standards: Address ethical concerns in data science, including privacy, bias, and fairness, while adhering to ethical guidelines.

Required Technical Skills

• Programming: Experience in writing clean, high-quality code using Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
• Data Handling: Gather and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Machine Learning: Develop and implement machine learning models, algorithms, and predictive analytics to solve specific business problems.
• Visualization: Create insightful visualizations using tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn, and communicate insights effectively.
• Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of using at least one public cloud, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Team Collaboration: Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to collaborative projects.
