Are you passionate about solving complex problems and working closely with customers to innovate new solutions? Microsoft is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Industry Solutions Engineering (ISE) team. This global engineering organization collaborates directly with customers to leverage the latest technologies and address their toughest challenges. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work side-by-side with high-impact engineers and strategic customers to solve complex problems and communicate trends and innovative solutions to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Business Understanding and Impact: Lead data-driven projects with business acumen and data science expertise.
• Data Preparation and Understanding: Manage data collection and preparation for projects.
• Modeling and Statistical Analysis: Apply machine learning solutions and algorithms to achieve objectives, prepare and evaluate data, and communicate findings and risks. Write scripts in various languages and understand Microsoft AI and ML tools. Design experiments and operationalize models at scale. Coach engineers on best practices.
• Evaluation: Ensure clear linkage between selected models and desired business objectives. Define and design feedback and evaluation methods. Present results and findings to customer stakeholders.
• Industry and Research Knowledge/Opportunity Identification: Provide feedback, coaching, and support to engineering team and other teams based on business knowledge, technical expertise, and industry trends.
• Coding and Debugging: Demonstrate coding and debugging skills across multiple features/solutions.
• Business Management: Drive business value by collaborating with stakeholders and improving solutions.
• Customer/Partner Orientation: Deliver customer-oriented solutions and build trust with Microsoft products.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience OR Master's Degree AND 3+ years data-science experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years data-science experience OR equivalent experience.

Preferred

• Doctorate AND 3+ years data-science experience OR Master's Degree AND 5+ years data-science experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years data-science experience OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years customer-facing, project-delivery experience, professional services, and/or consulting experience.
• Experience working as part of geographically dispersed, diverse, and virtual teams.
• Enjoy travel and are comfortable with travel up to 25%.

• Salary Range: €117,200 - €250,200 per year
