Senior Demo Software Engineer

About The Opportunity

As a Senior Demo Software Engineer at Contentful, you will be at the forefront of showcasing the capabilities of our platform through the development of digital applications. This role is pivotal in demonstrating the potential of Contentful within established and emerging markets by creating demos that are featured in product launches, analyst calls, and annual customer conferences.

During the off-season, your expertise will be utilized to assist Contentful users in maximizing the product's benefits through the development of how-to guides, tutorials, and technical videos. You may also be involved in conducting in-person workshops occasionally.

What You Will Do

• Develop and ship digital applications: You will be responsible for creating applications from scratch, ensuring they are successful and meet the high standards of our demo team.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Partnership teams to align on business requirements and technical specifications for demo assets.
• Augment team capabilities: Utilize freelancers, agencies, and partners for large-scale development projects, enhancing our team's output and reach.
• Drive product adoption: Partner with marketing teams to promote long-term educational programs and execute ad hoc campaigns that highlight the benefits of Contentful.

What You Need To Be Successful

• Extensive software development experience: At least 6 years in the field with a strong background in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend frameworks: Proficiency in frameworks like React, Vue, or Svelte is essential.
• Experience with APIs and devops: A thorough understanding of GraphQL API and CI/CD workflows is crucial.
• Innovative problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address high-impact technical issues effectively.
