About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with a front-end focus at Wayflyer, you will be instrumental in revolutionizing the funding experience for eCommerce businesses. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain front-end components and features using TypeScript and React, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain front-end components and features using TypeScript and React.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality code.
- Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Work on back-end features where required and/or work closely with back-end focused developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help drive technical decisions.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on front-end development.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and extensive experience with React.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Experience working with one or more server-side frameworks.
- Experience, or a desire to work, with Python and the Django framework.
- Solid understanding of Git.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres, Redis).
- Familiarity with React Query.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Vitest.
- Understanding of containerisation technologies like Docker.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
