About The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Content Lake Developer Experience team, you will be responsible for building highly scalable and performant distributed systems that provide core content creation and querying capabilities. You will tackle challenging scalability problems, such as serving millions of requests per minute while ensuring content remains up-to-date and fresh. This may involve experimenting with smarter caching strategies, optimizing search store usage, or developing novel indexing solutions from scratch.
You will need a deep understanding of database technologies and the ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems. You will also be involved in building cutting-edge features like Content Source Maps, enabling customers to harness the power of a composable content cloud. As a senior team member, you will own the technical direction and delivery of projects, identify and mitigate project risks early, break down work into manageable tasks, drive work to completion, and balance technical debt with new feature development.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the design and development of valuable product increments.
- Lead critical incident responses and resolve complex defects.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through peer reviews, testing code, and championing coding standards.
- Coach teammates and provide technical mentorship to elevate the team.
- Retrospect and influence team processes, recommending product or process improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of building and running distributed microservice applications at scale.
- Expertise in any backend language, with a requirement to write in Go and some Typescript/Node.js.
- Expert knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical designs and thinking.
- Experience working in a product/SaaS company.
