Overview
Lightspeed Commerce is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer to join our Lightspeed Hospitality Team in EMEA, based in Ghent, Belgium. This role involves working on-site and offers the opportunity to impact the daily lives of thousands of customers worldwide, enhancing local communities through innovative technology solutions.
What You'll Do
- Develop and Design: Build new features and creative workflows for omnichannel products. Design and create beautiful, elegant, and functional web applications.
- Collaboration and Interaction: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and other developers. Frequent interactions with the Team Lead of Development, Product Managers, and Platform Teams.
- Agile Environment: Participate in daily agile ceremonies, brainstorm innovative ideas, and implement effective solutions.
- Quality and Standards: Advocate for high code quality and ownership, contribute to infrastructure health, and share knowledge and best practices.
Skills and Experience
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge in HTML, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, CSS(-in-JS), React.js, Next.js, and GraphQL.
- Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in web applications.
- Web Concerns: Understanding of authentication, OAuth2, JWT, API design, REST, performance optimizations, and security best practices.
- Testing and Standards: Familiarity with writing tests (e2e using Cypress) and maintaining high coding standards.
