Overview
Timescale is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing the user interface and overall user experience of our cloud-native data platform. As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to lead projects and innovate on an open-source time-series database that supports full SQL.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of UI/UX for managed cloud services and data-driven visualization.
- Write production-level code in TypeScript using React.
- Ensure robustness of the front-end code through testing with tools like Cypress.
- Occasionally work on API development to support end-to-end feature functionality.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX or front-end development.
- Proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, especially React.
- Strong understanding of API development and SQL or other data-driven query languages.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Cypress.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Golang is a plus.
